For lupus disease is often very typical butterfly rash on the face. Therefore a Butterfly is often used as a symbol of the disease. My symbol of the day is orange hand of my daughter. They had really funny topic for the orange day in daycare. A friendship. The color brought me the idea of energy and positive thoughts. They have used red and yellow color and kids where shaking their hands creating orange mixture left on their palms. They have made such prints on the paper and decorated the wall in their daycare. It looked actually pretty nice. I admire people who can come up with such ideas for kids.
The hand on the picture gives me personally feeling of strength and energy. We all can help each other just being kind to each other. Except that shaking hands is typically source of spreading germs ;-). Especially among kids. But never mind. At least something to share :-).
Today is also women's day. Ok, I wouldn't noticed that if the people were not speaking about it. Shop assistants were trying to give me a flaccid rose in the shop, most probably leftover to be thrown away anyway.
But I am thinking what women inspired me. The most inspiring is my mum. She gave me a life and she was here any time I needed. I would need her here again, but that's not possible anymore. But I would like to be strong as she was and strong for her and my kids that she could be proud on me.
But there are plenty of women who inspired. Many of them I would call ordinary, but that doesn't sound correct to me. No one is ordinary, everybody is special. However those normal women usually gave me the most strength and inspiration. Especially those secret stories behind the smile.
