Stay positive, leave the negative

Public transport in Helsinki always turns into a really good workout. Last week was really interesting to see how public transport In Helsinki collapses just due to few problems in metro. I don't want to see any bigger issue here, such as flood I experienced in Prague. What was that year? My friend would remind me. And that is not only problem with metro, but busses or places where you can charge your travel card. The informational system si missing.

Public transport in Helsinki? :-) Just trying to find a funny picture.
First, metro stopped working for several hours and nobody was able to say what has happened nor how to get to certain destination. On top of that, they have changed after 3 hours bus routes in an effort to help people, however they have forgotten to inform people on skipped bus stops that the link was rerouted. Well I had two small kids with me so that was not funny at all. We have walked quite a lot and it was really exhausting trip.

Another experience just came day after that. Metro had again trouble and one stop lasted 15 minutes. Again we didn't get any information what is going on and how to get to certain destination a bit faster. I had to cancel one appointment due to uncertainty that I will come on time. It is very frustrating to know that in case of real problem everything will collapse. At least that is my impression of the system.

On Sunday I have walked from the center and I couldn't find any place where I could charge my travel card. All places on the route was closed on Sunday. When I have finally charged my card, I have missed the bus by a minute, so the next one was coming in about 20 minutes. It was so cold that I decided to continue to walk. Anything felt better than to stay. I walked about 5 km and temperature -10 degrees. Wonderful. I got completely frozen.

May be it is not that bad, to be forced to walk, be on the fresh chilly air. I am actually pretty tired of trying to be all the time positive. I am not sure whether the output will remain on the positive side since I am exhausted, frozen, and my wrist is in pain again. Well, I can take that a bit positively because I wasn't able to feel anything for a week.

There are few tricks how to stay positive in live.

Hints for painful and numb hands
  • First trick is most probably to stay yourself and accept who you are. You cannot change the way how you feel. Sometimes you can interpret the same feeling just simply differently.
  • Another one is to make realistic positive goals. Just start step by step. It will help you to feel stronger and more confident. It will give you a plan.
  • Try to find anything positive around you. Name it and write it down if you want. In the end of the week you can see that things are not that bad as they looked. You can take a picture of it, post it on Facebook, or write a blog 😊😉😇
  • Smile, even you don't feel it. Brain will get it. Dress what you want and you feel comfortable.
  • Get some exercise.
  • Meditate.
  • Do things what you really like. I like to paint, or colour mandalas, make origami. Also surround yourself by good people from family or good friends.
  • Avoid negative influences. That is actually really important to me, as I am do not want to be that one.
  • Deal with your problems and traumas. Do not let it be. They can easily grow up. You can easily get help just visiting a doctor.
